Retired Re-Recording Mixer
Full Member
I've been in sound post production since 1973 and a Dubbing Mixer (Re-Recording Mixer) since 1978. At 23 years old I was dubbing many of broadcast's top drama, entertainment and documentary series.
In 1984 I decided with my wife and children to move to Devon and joined the ITV company - TSW. When they lost their licence in 1992 I stayed living in Kingsbridge and commuted to London setting up the dubbing department for Nats Post Production in London's West End.
In 1994 with my business partner, Rob Butler-Biggs, formed Fitzrovia Post Production, and owned and ran three studios with five members of staff.
Worn out by commuting in 2000 I decided to build a studio in my home in South Devon offering a residential facility for London clients, and hoped people would come and work with me; I ran it successfully for over 15 years.
