Mark Franken is an award-winning software developer and founder of Sounds In Sync, specializing in cutting edge solutions for sound post-production. His work as a sound editor on some of the top feature films and television shows has inspired him to develop these programs that are used by sound professionals word-wide.
With over 20 years' experience as a sound editor working in the film and TV industries in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Mark has undertaken key roles on many projects, including supervising, sound effects, dialogue, music editing and mixing.
Mark Franken was part of the Academy Award-winning sound team on Peter Jackson's epic "The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers", won a 2003 Inside Film (IF) Award for Best Sound for the Australian film, "Gettin' Square" and was an integral member of the team that won the 2004 Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Sound on the film "Somersault", the AFI Awards' Best Film that same year.
