Chris grew up in rural North Devon and threw his energies into music, studying acoustic guitar and music production at school and college. This set him on a path towards a degree in Creative Music Technology at the University of Salford. Once in Manchester, the city’s vibrant culture inspired Chris to get involved in various student film projects where he became fascinated by the role that sound plays in enhancing the emotional impact and narrative shape of a film.
After graduating with first-class honours, Chris was offered a place at the National Film and Television School to study an MFA in Sound Design for Film and Television.
