The Association of Motion Picture Sound has revealed the winners of its 13th Annual AMPS Awards, celebrating outstanding achievement in Television Drama, Factual Film and Audio Technology.
The awards were presented yesterday at the University of Greenwich by AMPS Chair George Foulgham and Vice-Chair Kate Davis, bringing together leading talent from across the sound community to honour excellence in the craft.
The winners of the 2026 AMPS Awards for Television Drama, Factual Film, and Audio Technology are:
Excellence in Sound for a Television Drama
Winner - 'Adolescence' Episode 1 (Netflix)
Kiff McManus AMPS, Rob Entwistle AMPS, Kyle Pickford AMPS, Michele Woods AMPS, James Drake, Jules Woods AMPS.
The nominees were: Black Mirror (Netflix), Silo (Apple TV) and Slow Horses (Apple TV), highlighting an exceptional range of soundtracks in scripted storytelling.
Excellence in Sound for a Factual Film
Winner - 'Ocean with David Attenborough' (National Geographic/Disney+)
Ellie Williams AMPS, George Fry, Roy Noy, Graham Wild.
The nominees were: 7/7: The London Bombings (BBC), Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe (Apple TV), Michael Palin in Venezuela (Channel 5), Top Guns: Inside the RAF (Channel 4), reflecting the incredible diversity of subjects in factual filmmaking.
Excellence in a Production Hardware or Software Audio Product
Winner - Radius - 'Radius Mini-Alto'
The nominees were: Ambient – LockitBT, AudioRoot - eSMART DUO power distributor, Audio Wireless - DT1 Digitally Tuned In-Line Antenna Booster, Sound Devices - Astral HH Microphone.
Excellence in a Post-Production Hardware or Software Audio Product
Winner - Introspecter - 'Introspecter Orion SFX'
The nominees were: Acon Digital - Extract:Dialogue 2, AiAudio Software - DX Assist, Soundminer Inc – Soundminer v6.2 Pro, Source Elements - Source-Connect 4.
Apple TV and Netflix lead this year’s nominations with three each, followed by BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, and National Geographic/Disney+ with one nomination each. The two categories representing Product Excellence featured a wide range of nominations covering most aspects of the modern film sound workflow, indicating the ever-growing complexity of the technology supporting the creative processes.
The Adolescence team are also nominated for a BAFTA Craft Award 2026 in the Sound Fiction category. On behalf of the Adolescence team Kiff McManus said: "We're very proud to win this award. All of the nominees were superb and there was nothing you could fault. We were lucky this time, the director pushed us so hard that we were forced to take it to another level."
On behalf of the Ocean with David Attenborough team, Sound Recordist Ellie Williams said: "I am absolutely bowled over! It wasn't just me, It was multiple recordists in the field and a wonderful post team, very much a combined effort.. It's always wonderful to be part of David Attenborough's films and this one has really spoken to the whole world in terms of ocean conservation. It's really special to have a tiny part in that, and very fitting in the year of David's 100th birthday."
Simon Davies, MD of Radius said: "To be nominated in the first place for Radius Mini-Alto was fantastic but to actually win amongst so many other great brands is amazing! Thank you to the AMPS membership for voting for us."
Marc Specter, Creator of 'Orion' said: "We have had the great privilege of winning the AMPS award a few times for ‘Kraken’ in the past, and now for Introspecter Orion SFX! We’re delighted to have the appreciation of peers, colleagues and friends and to be able to develop software supported by the community and by the users."

We’re proud to recognise the teams and companies behind this year’s winning work.”
AMPS presented the awards during a reception held at The University of Greenwich on Sunday 12th April, with each of the winners receiving a prestigious trophy. The reception included a fundraising element for AMPS chosen charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, through a raffle and selling merchandise. This year included raffle donations from Deity, DPA, HHB, Introspector, Pinewood, Radius Windsheilds, Sound Radix, WB DLL, Wounded Buffalo and more.
Now in its 13th year, the respected, peer-voted AMPS Awards celebrate excellence in sound across five categories: Feature Film, Television Drama, Factual Film, Production Audio Products and Post-Production Audio Products. The AMPS Awards recognise multiple facets of the Sound industry, honouring outstanding contributions and collaborative efforts.The 2026 Feature Film Award was presented earlier in the year to Apple’s F1.
