The weekend of 1st February saw the annual BSC Expo 2020 show at Battersea Evolution. The show is primarily aimed at lighting, grip and camera equipment with just a few offerings for the sound department. It is however generally known as a very good event for some great networking with colleagues old and new. It’s also well timed when the industry is only just starting to gear up again for the years work.
AMPS keeps a presence at the show for many of these reasons as well as trying to engage potential new members along the way. The stand was attended by Graham Hartstone, Clive Derbyshire and Adrian Bell. Our new TV monitor was in full effect showing clips from the AMPS award nominees films, put together by Brian Simmons. The show gains momentum year on year and is well worth a visit next time, even just for a calming drink with the DP or gaffer you fell out with on your last job!”
