Rob Walker, Chairman of AMPS presented the 6th Annual AMPS Award for Excellence in Sound For A Feature Film yesterday to (left to right) Paul Massey, John Warhurst, Nina Hartstone AMPS, Chris Murphy and John Casali AMPS for their stellar sound work on ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
The prestigious AMPS bronze trophies were presented to the winners on Saturday 9th February at Warner Bros. De Lane Lea Studios, where AMPS Members assembled to raise a glass in celebration.
This marks the second time Paul Massey has been honoured by these Awards, and the first time Dialogue Editors and the 1st Assistant Sound have won trophies. This is recognises their invaluable contribution to the film.
All the winners expressed the wish to share this honour with their fellow crew members. Their combined skills resulted in the success of this memorable soundtrack.
The AMPS choice of best sound is particularly relevant during the Awards season, being solely decided by the AMPS voting membership
