I am a British Boom Op with an Indian father and Italian mother. I am making steps up towards Sound Mixing in the future as part of the Leaders of Tomorrow program by Screenskills. I count as BAME for productions wishing to expand the racial diversity of their personnel.

I always put in maximum effort with the mentality that whatever I am working on will be somebody's favourite show or film. I strive to get the best sound possible on the day and capture that original performance by the cast. I strongly believe that the authentic delivery of the dialogue helps to enhance the story for the audience and keeps them engaged with the drama. It's worth fighting for despite the pressures to get the scenes shot and completed for the day. It can be achieved by absorbing the perceived pressure of the task and effectively communicating with fellow colleagues who are largely focusing only on their specific disciplines. It also requires a lot of stamina and quick reactions to problems that suddenly appear.
When my brain is tired after the long hours of work i like to remember the following favourite quotes from colleagues on set:
